STATEMENT OF EMPOWERMENT:
ACDA recognizes that Art can provoke; therefore, during the course of the conference, participants are empowered to remove themselves from conference activities.

To All Conference Participants:
Just a reminder...The adjudication process is structured to ensure that feedback and the selection process is as objective as possible.

Adjudicators do not know the names of schools or choreographers presenting work in the adjudication concerts. In order to keep the integrity of this ACDA policy and process in tact through the adjudicators’ final decision, it is necessary to ask all conference participants to avoid conversation with adjudicators about the adjudicated dances, the adjudication process, or their comments during the feedback session. In addition, please do not discuss your school’s programs or your own work with the adjudicators. Your full cooperation is being requested for the enjoyment of all conference participants, including the adjudicators!

Learn the Basics of Jacques Heim and Diavolo Dance Theatre’s Partnering Aesthetics and Technique with former company member and CSU Summer Arts Coordinator Philip “Flick” Flickinger.  Diavolo Dance Theatre will be teaching at the CSU Summer Arts from July 15-28th, 2019, and will be working with their students to not only create a piece for the Summer Arts workshop presentation, but select performers from the course will have the opportunity to perform live with the company in their public performance. Learn to blend dance, architecture, and danger as you learn to fly and fall in the classroom and in performance alongside the ultra-athletic and acrobatic Diavolo Dance Company.  Interweave trust and teamwork with set pieces to create performance that both entertains and creates the artistic statement and experience for which Diavolo Dance Company is renowned.
